All I Want for Christmas

What's the best present you could get at Christmas? No, we aren't thinking of something material. After all, what better gift to receive than the gift of life? Having a baby on any day is a special occassion, but those babies that come on Christmas day are like an extra amazing present.

Being in hospital over Christmas is never a fun prospect, so for Christmas 2011 the MyBabyLog team decided to give a MyBabyLog Memory Chest to the first baby boy and baby girl born on Christmas day at both Bournemouth and Poole hospitals.

One of these babies was Molly Rose Parker, who was born at 4:48am Christmas day weighing 8lb 7oz. Her parents Sharon and Martin were delighted. Sharon had only gone into labour two hours prior to the birth. Speaking to the Daily Echo she said: "It's unbelievable, I never thought that I would be home with a newborn baby before lunchtime on Christmas Day".
